2 Mail us the following documents:

Original, signed India passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

Passport-type photographs: 2

Proof of status. Original evidence of your legal status in US (Original of Green card, I-94, I-20, H1B approval notice).

Itinerary. Copy of itinerary showing exact dates of travel from airline or travel agent. Please do not purchase tickets until visa is issued. Please note that the validity, duration of stay, and number of entries on your visa will be based upon your itinerary.

Health Insurance. Letter on company letterhead from Health Insurance Company indicating the coverage plan for the applicant, specifically stating that the applicant will be covered while traveling internationally and indicating the validity of this coverage (with a minimum medical coverage of US$ 50,000).

Bank Statement. Copy of a recent bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds.

Hotel Reservations. Copy of confirmed hotel reservations.

Personal Invitation. If visiting friends or family, you must provide letter of invitation with the contact information of the host and visitor, purpose and duration of the visit, confirmation of accommodation including the address, signature and date. You will also need to provide proof of the host's status in Finland ie. copy of their Finland passport's information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Finland, copies of their Finland residence permit and their national passport's information pages.
If you will be visiting more than one Schengen country, you must submit evidence of travel and accommodation for each country to be visited.
The Embassy of Finland reserves the right to request additional documents and/or a personal interview.
Finland is a member of the Schengen treaty. If you intend to visit several Schengen countries you should apply for a visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the country that is your main destination or, if you do not have a main destination, at the Embassy or Consulate of the country that is your first point of entry. The countries of the Schengen zone are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

Business Letter. A business letter from the sending company in the US. The letter should be printed on the company letterhead stationery, addressed to "The Consulate of Finland, Visa Section", and signed by a senior manager (an equivalent to Vice-President or above). The business letter must adhere to the following guidelines:
• Briefly introduce the applicant (please specify employment status/position held in the company by applicant).
• State the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.) and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Finland.
• Specify the type and desired validity of the visa (ie. a one year multiple entry business visa).
• Guarantee of sufficient funds for travel.
